Colorado Fourteeners Initiative

The Colorado Fourteeners Initiative (CFI) is a Golden-based non-profit that protects summit hiking trails on Colorado’s 50+ mountains that exceed 14,000 feet in elevation. With government funding on the decline, CFI had to figure out how to reach new potential investors who could support the organization’s ever-growing ambitions.

 Strategize

Trying to explain the basics of what CFI does on a daily basis doesn’t come close to doing the organization justice. Instead, we showed potential investors exactly what it takes to construct features such as staircases and retaining walls out of large boulders at high altitudes and by hand. Brand Iron helped position CFI as an organization that works to protect, preserve and restore the natural integrity of Colorado’s peaks for their target market of hikers, local businesses, and environmental enthusiasts.

By positioning Colorado 14ers as an organization committed to Colorado’s peaks, we helped them gain funding from new investors and even win a vehicle in Toyota’s ‘100 Cars for Good’ contest.
