As the world has watched in shock over this last week as to what is unfolding in Ukraine, one man who represents what his country stands for, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has stood tall. This is why he is this month’s Brand Champion.
Zelenskyy has shown not only Ukraine’s inspiration, bravery, and leadership but has also shown the entire world. In a time of war and oppression, he stands his ground. He stands his ground while his candidness and passion inspire people worldwide to support Ukraine. In addition, he rallied European leaders to provide sanctions, ammo, anti-tank and anti-aircraft defense systems, and humanitarian aid. He provided the sharp contrast of a free democracy versus Russian Communism and the evil of Vladamir Putin.
The History of Ukraine
The Ukrainian people were under Russian rule until 1991 and have been an independent democracy since then. Therefore, listening to Zelenskyy and other Ukrainian people, it’s clear they have no interest in returning to Russian rule. In fact, what is most outstanding is the resolve the Ukrainian people and their leader Zelenskyy have had. They have been dedicated to freedom, liberty, sovereignty, and the will to keep and maintain those values, beliefs, and independence.
Great leaders and Brand Champions have many things in common: a vision, passion, clarity, a strong will, and a plan to win. They rally people together, work towards a common goal, and keep the energy and communication strong and going. Great leaders and Brand Champions never give up until they achieve their goals and objectives. Let us keep Ukraine, its people, and Zelenskyy in our thoughts and prayers until Ukraine is free from Putin and Russia’s onslaught. Let’s keep in mind what Ukraine, its people, and Zelenskyy have taught us about will, passion, and never giving up and apply that to our lives, country and companies.
