We’ve all heard about AI, a lot of us have tried it to write content, but how can you harness AL to help you out and turbo charge your activities? Let’s take a look at a Trends Brand we’ve all been hearing about:

A. Tasks: Simple tasks like doing market research are a no brainer utilizing AI, also compiling tasks and keeping track of them are very helpful. 

B. Content: Developing content is quite easy with the help of Chat GBT or other tools. AI generated content is good for letters, social media posts and marketing materials as long as you customize it to communicate your message. It’s not good for unique blog, website or SEO content, Google and other search engines recognize it as AI content versus organic content, thus it hurts versus helps you. 

C. Blogs: Ai can be a great research tool for your blog content and give you ideas for you to use to write your own original content. As mentioned above, make sure to only use AI research and ideas for you to write your own original content that search engines and SEO will accept. 

D. Design: We are all starting to see AI generated design in logo’s, social media, etc. This will be a major trend, the key here will be those who know how to use it, here again to generate original design versus copying others designs. 

E. Workflows/Automation: AI can also help you develop workflows for your CRM/MAS platforms to help drive targets into leads and leads into opportunities. 

F. PR: Another task you can utilize AI’s assistance is drafting press releases and helping to refine those for publication. 

G. Investor relations and engagement: Another key communications component AI can help you with is your investor relationship and investor engagement. You can help and prompt it to help you in crafting your key communication pieces. 

Design Trends to look for in 2025*:

Another important trend to watch for is what Branding design trends we will see in 2025. Let’s take a look at some of these design trends we see coming to life in 2025:

A. AI Design: We mentioned this above, but it’s going to be more and more relevant as we move into the new year and ask ourselves how do we harness this powerful tool? 

B. Motion design in brands: We’ve seen this trend on social media platforms, this trend is only getting started with the utilization of video, website design and the usage of animated GIF’s. This trend is only going to get more and more popular. 

C. Texture/Fading: You are starting to see this trend already, but you will continue to see textured color in ads, social media posts, packaging, website design etc. This means that the color isn’t just a solid color, the new trend is to add texture like fading/shading, or other effects like speckles, or a patterning with that color to add a pattern to add depth, texture and interest. 

D. Unique color matches: Another trend we are seeing is the emergence of really unique and unconventional color combinations. Items like pink and green or purple and blue, color combinations that stop you and grab your attention, particularly since they are very unique color combinations, but that’s why they are designing that way to grab your attention. 

E. Topography branding: Think retro, pixelated, and another unique way of using fonts to grab your attention. This isn’t type design style but it can be far back retro or super far forward topography styles to reach out and grab you. 

F. Badges: A popular trend we are seeing is utilizing a “badge” like design concept for a logo design, product naming or packaging. Another design trend we are going to see a lot more about this coming year. 

G. Custom cropped photos: Gaining popularity in design is the utilization of putting customized filters or cropping of pictures to form a totally unique design feature. 

H. Bold and Minimal: A big design trend we also see is a combination of bold and minimal design. It may include the utilization of a big bold eye popping color in a simplified design style, grabbing attention and making these brands stand out.  

Elevate customer experience

A key trend we see this coming year is taking a hard look at your customer experience.  In order to elevate these and deliver great experiences, we call them brand experiences, you need to define what they should look and feel like. Once you map out what the desired experience wants to look like, you make assignments, provide training and track and measure effectiveness to make sure this is becoming a reality. 

Master the art of storytelling:

Brand storytelling is key this day to grab attention, 

Understand how and why you’re better: Know your differences and how and why you are better than your competition. Know what your prospects look like and how to package a story that is going to connect and compel your customers. 

Know your value points: Define and craft what your 3-6 value points are that go into a value proposition that is key to your brand story.

Have a well defined Value Proposition: This is the culmination of your differences, value points and uniqueness in the marketplace into one simple statement, small paragraph of who you are, what you do and why to do business with you, this should be the starting point of your brand story.

Put these into a messaging platform: Having gone through the hard work of defining the above information, put it into a messaging platform for your employees, marketing and sales to be able to effectively communicate your message and turn that into a strong story.

Best pitch decks: Having developed your messaging platform and brand story, you may want to put it into a pitch deck to be able to pitch your business, use it as a sales tool. You may want to utilize a pitch deck designers to help make a highly effective tool and effectively tell your brand story.

Embrace sustainable branding:

This is one of several new branding ideas that has emerged recently. The idea of integrating sustainability into your company and brand. Developing initiatives to make sustainability and everyday practice, like the following items:

With the advent of social media and AI, people, customers are craving authenticity, so make sure your brand is being real and authentic. Here are a few tips:

A. Real people: No fake comments or substituting out responses from your CEO or President, but real executive interaction. 

B. Real responses: No templated/AI communications without authenticity or compassion, people can and usually see right through authenticity. 

C. No AI: One bad thing about AI, it has a hard time communicating realism and authentic feelings. 

Substituting Letters with Abstract Forms:

A design concept similar to the importance of storytelling listed above, where instead of crafting or writing a letter, you would put it into design form. 

A. Think social media: In a way to communicate a quick message people are using visuals to communicate language and their story in a short and concise fashion.

B. Infographics: Is a great way to provide information in a straight forward quick format that has become a common way to communicate ideas and facts. . 

The rapid emergence of social commerce:

We get hit with social posts on Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest that highlight a product, service, technology, travel experience, etc, all day every day. Here are some of the types of social selling that has become a trend.

A. Social posts: Everyday we see social media posts pitching a product, service, tip or miracle by using a product, service or technology that we can’t live without. 

B. Brands: Great brands utilize social media and their posts to highlight, showcase and feature their products and services, sales, promos, etc. 

C. Friends: We see our friend hawking a product or service, workout gear, diet secret etc, all the time and it’s a great way to influence people. 

D. Influencers: As stated this is where brands hire or pay influencers to feature, wear or use their products and services, think the Kardashians, they’ve made a killing out of doing this.  

E. Branding trends examples: Speaking of brands that are using social commerce really well, brands like Sheen, have done a great job of getting users to share their “Sheen Haul” on social media and it’s all the rage.

You know this is a big deal when our 7 year old asks for a gift card for Christmas and wants to have her own “Sheen Haul”, and she wants to film it and share it on social media, so she can be one of the “cool kids”. This has become and will continue to be a trend that brands will be utilizing in 2025.
